1:22a The Lead Up Redux (Also life-update in first paragraph)
I've posted this in some form before. I'm posting it again. This is my lead-up to me leaving for Japan. I wrote these notes at school because I didn't have any classes. I got fired for not having any classes basically. Oh yeah, I'm living in Tokyo again and looking for a job. My mom is doing badly. Let's go back to the past when all I had was dreams and aspirations.
I managed to see Jason, my best friend since high school, a little before Christmas last year. We spent the time well. We visited my father's parents on Christmas eve, which no doubt made everyone think I was gay, as it is very odd to bring your best friend since high school to your parent's house for Christmas. Jason's parents had gotten a divorce that year and perhaps knowing I wouldn't be back in America for a while spent Christmas with me.
Jason got along well with my cousins and second nephews. I didn't of course. I've never had a good mind aroun d children. I can't fake enthusiasm. It always feels condescending, which unless done for a joke, is a huge insult in my eyes. Better to show that I just don't give a shit. I talked with family about my plans to get on a plane and go to Japan and find a job. I felt that weird disconnect I've always felt with my father's side. They are men and women, lower middle class in a middle of nowhere town that work very hard to live. Meanwhile I"m currently being paid to write these words in a Japanese school because I'm not allowed to leave despite my job being finished. I can't prepare for the next week be cause I haven't been told what I'm doing then. The kicker is I"m probably being paid more than my relatives. That's Hilarious and Tragic, Hilaritragic.
Jason, who at that point was working in construction, had much more to talk about with my family, probably also because he paid attention to sports. While I say "soccer" when asked by students, "What sportsu due you liku?" A more truthful answer would be that I give "Fuck all about that lot."
During the day in my father's hometown we went to property owned by my grandfather, various little places about the town. I got a great picture of Jason, my father, and my grandfather, and felt embarassed to ask for a similar picture with me in it. Still regret that.
My father drove to and from Whitney, Texas in one day and we arrived back when X-mas eve in Texas became X-Mas day in Texas. WE woke up to continue the tradition of my family thinking I might be gay. My mother's sister had immediate family over for lunch and revelry. The inner was decent, once again Jason proving his superioirty in being around children. ONe cousin who is a complete brat, I've made a habit of allowing injury to take him everytime I visit this faimly. Jason beat me to this, which after injuing my uncle and myself with a fresh Christmas toy, faceplaneted when tried on Jason. Everyone in the family felt he deserved it, though only hinted towards Jason, "Good job!"
We returned home where I looked over my Christmas gift, giftcards. We then enjoyed the rest of Jason's time in the city, visting friends in Austin who I had told over the years the sort of person Jason was. I tried in vain to get another Mississipppi boy who lived in San Antonio, to meet with us.

That man, Brandon, would help me finish what Jason and I begun. Earth Defense Force 2 for my Final Fantasy XII Tim Rogers's given Japanese Playstation 2. The game places you as a soldier against destroy the city monsters, ants, UFOs, and Godzilla among them. Your only mission is to kill everything and pick up the health and weapons upgrades they drop. Despite terrible slowdown, with a another person it never stops being fun.
Please ignore the tools in the first 3 minutes. Skip to 3:10 for the actual song.
After Jason went back to Misssissipi with jewelry to give his doll, Linda. I had sent off and recieived gifts from Tokyo from/for mine. I continued to sell off things in my room, which I had been doing since I returned to America. I'd been using this money for gas and food, though my parents, had they known, would have screamed and had a fit I was doing this. I was selling Garfield and Dilbert books though.

Vagrant Story passsed the time until two days before my departure. It might be the best game ever. While incredibly deep it never really heald the difficulty that others clam it to have. The game never stops being classsy in dialog, look, level design, or music. It is full package game and entertainment. The only advice you need, outside of actually thinking about the game system, is make a weapon for each enemy type and run up under dragon's necks and stay there. The rest is common sense and risk/reward. I never found the game overly difficult (outside of enemies with instant kill.) The game requires you to look at dozens of different numbers, but only a few of those numbers matter at any given time, and if you are a reasonable time you should be able to recognize which ones are which. Another tip, when you use the Identify the enemy spell (I can't remember the exact name) go into menu and select status and move to the left or right to see the stats for said enemy. A bit counter-intuitive. Vagrant Story only requires reasonable understanding to win. I respect it more than any other game I've ever played.
With it beaten I focused on saying goodbyes to freinds and family The 23rd of January came slow and quick and I hugged my mom, petted my dogs, and said thanks to my father. I then got on a plane was once again in Tokyo.

Power Meet is in town, the cruising and the cars are better than ever, the weather is marvellous, there has never been this many people watching from the roads, and there has never been so many f'd up rides.

If I recover from the heat in time I hope to get early tomorrow for spot in the shade, this time with batteries that don't die after ten minutes of shooting.
Also found out that Bruce Springsteen is a Leica man. Respect++

6:33a Going to Anime Expo + Platinum Hikari/Dawn action

Here's Hikari/Dawn in her new look from Pokemon Platinum. It's pretty cute. Also, if you check the Visublog, you can see the Persona 3 doujinshi we made that we're going to sell at Anime Expo. You can see a small sample page of what I've done there. Also, the last two Gamesetwatch comics I've done were actually from the doujin so yeah, those are samples too, I guess.
Anyway, we'll be at table B-18 so keep your eyes peeled and all that. Hooray.

( Computer building geekery and photos )
Silje is a noisy attentionwhore of a cat. No matter what I do, I have tried everything, she begs, she meows, she howls. Ignore her, she's going to break something or do something you have to interrupt her from doing and I cannot lock everything down in the livingroom. Close her out, she's going to bash the door in and meow loudly. Block the door, blanket the door, put a box so she can't even sniff through it, she's still going to try, she's still howling.
How much alcohol do I need to put a cat of her size down for a few hours? I have seriously had it with her, she's been like this ever since Taran and Lucifer stopped talking constantly and for no reason. I can't let her walk around the livingroom where I sleep, maybe if I can block out the white noise - then she might get noise complaints coming my way.
And how the hell do I get cat puke out of carpet? Lucifer was a few steps away from the litterbox and "hyuk", there comes the wet puke. Putting that on the bill, together with a toaster-grill Lucifer also broke, and for chairseats Silje tore up. A meter away from the fresh fine scratching post.
